The Community Service Volunteer role is designed for individuals who are completing court-mandated service hours. Volunteers will assist YMCA staff with general operational tasks, event support, and facility upkeep in a safe and supervised environment. This role focuses on providing meaningful service opportunities while ensuring accountability, structure, and alignment with YMCA values. Responsibilities • Assist with general facility support (cleaning, organizing, setup/teardown) • Support events and community programs as assigned • Help maintain cleanliness in shared spaces (lobby, wellness areas, classrooms as appropriate) • Assist with outdoor tasks (light landscaping, gardening, beautification projects) • Follow all instructions from YMCA staff and supervisors • Accurately track and report completed service hours

This is a FREE market available for anyone in needed of food. Reston Strong will provide people who are in need a bag of food for the week. These donations come from local restaurants, Costco's, bakeries, and more! This a community initiative. This happens in the Teen Center on Sundays from 12pm to 4pm.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to serve as the lead monitor for pickleball drop-ins at YMCA pickleball branch locations. The Pickleball Volunteer will play a pivotal role in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, where players can enjoy the game and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

The YMCA Early Learning Center (ELC) provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 2–5, focused on building strong foundations for lifelong learning. Through play-based curriculum, social interaction, and structured activities, children develop critical skills in communication, creativity, and confidence. Volunteers and interns in the Early Learning Center support our dedicated teaching staff in delivering high-quality early childhood programming. By assisting in classrooms, engaging with children, and helping with daily routines, volunteers play an important role in creating a positive and enriching experience for every child. The YMCA is committed to youth development, and the Early Learning Center is a vital part of that mission—helping children grow, learn, and thrive.
